FAQ
What liquids can the FSC400 measure?
The FSC400 is designed for measuring most homogeneous liquids without high concentrations of suspended particles or air bubbles, including water and many industrial process liquids.
What is the difference between clamp-on and insertion sensors?
Clamp-on sensors are mounted externally and are ideal for quick installation. Insertion sensors are installed directly into the pipeline and are suitable for larger pipe sizes or applications requiring direct contact measurement.
Does installation require cutting the pipeline?
No. The clamp-on version installs directly on the outside surface of the pipe without stopping operation or modifying the pipeline.
Can the FSC400 measure heat energy?
Yes. By adding temperature sensors to the supply and return pipelines, the FSC400 can calculate thermal energy consumption.
What warranty do you provide?
Please refer to BayMeters Warranty Policy or contact our sales team for warranty details.
Do you provide technical support?
Yes. BayMeters provides technical support for product selection, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. If you need assistance, please contact our technical support team.

Product Overview
The SUP-FSC400 Wall-Mounted Ultrasonic Flowmeter is a non-invasive flow measurement solution designed for continuous measurement of homogeneous liquids in industrial pipelines. Using transit-time ultrasonic technology, it measures flow velocity by analyzing the difference in ultrasonic signal travel time between upstream and downstream sensors.
With clamp-on and insertion sensor options, the FSC400 enables installation without cutting or shutting down pipelines, reducing installation costs and maintenance requirements. It supports 4–20 mA output, RS485 Modbus communication, pulse output, and optional heat energy measurement with additional temperature sensors, making it suitable for water, petroleum, chemical, power, food, and other industrial applications.
Key Features
- Clamp-on sensors install directly on the outside of pipelines without cutting pipes or interrupting operation, reducing installation time and cost.
- Provides reliable flow measurement with ±1% accuracy and excellent repeatability for industrial applications.
- Ultrasonic measurement technology introduces no obstruction inside the pipeline, avoiding additional pressure loss.
- Insertion sensor measurement is unaffected by pipe wall or liner materials, improving installation flexibility.
- Supports thermal energy monitoring by adding temperature sensors to measure heat consumption in supply and return pipelines.
- Supports V-method, Z-method, and parallel insertion installation methods for different pipeline conditions.
