Product Overview

The LDGR-SUP Electromagnetic BTU Meter combines electromagnetic flow measurement and temperature sensing technology to accurately measure thermal energy consumption in heating and cooling systems. It calculates heat released or absorbed by measuring the flow rate, supply and return water temperature difference, and operating time. Designed with high stability, low pressure loss, and strong anti-interference performance, it is suitable for energy monitoring in industrial, commercial, and municipal water systems.

Key Features

  • Provides reliable thermal energy measurement by combining flow rate and temperature difference calculation for heating and cooling systems.
  • Measures instantaneous flow, accumulated flow, and thermal energy consumption through an integrated measurement system.
  • Uses electromagnetic measurement technology with strong resistance to external interference for stable operation.
  • Features a non-obstructive measuring tube structure to minimize pressure loss during operation.
  • Supports RS485, HART, and RS232 communication with multiple output options including 4–20 mA, pulse, frequency, and status switch.
  • Provides empty pipe detection and electrode contamination diagnosis to improve measurement reliability.

FAQ

What is a BTU Meter used for?

A BTU Meter measures thermal energy consumption by calculating flow rate and temperature difference between supply and return water in heating or cooling systems.

Does this meter measure only flow or also energy consumption?

It measures both flow parameters and thermal energy consumption by combining flow measurement with temperature sensing.

What is the difference between integrated and remote installation?

The integrated type combines the converter and sensor together, while the remote type separates them for installations requiring longer cable distances or difficult access.

Can the BTU Meter be used for HVAC systems?

Yes. It is suitable for heating and cooling energy monitoring, district energy systems, and building energy management applications.
